Increasing Transgender Inclusion & Rights: A Free Seminar for Employers & Service Providers Tuesday 11th March

On Tuesday 11th March 2008 (9.30am – 4pm), the Equality Network will hold a seminar at MacDonald Holyrood Hotel, Edinburgh, for employers and service providers who need to know more about the goods, facilities, and services regulations making discrimination on the grounds of gender identity unlawful.

The Scottish Transgender Alliance seminar taking place on 11th March 2008 will assist organisations to increase transgender inclusion within their service provision and employment roles. It will explain the early 2008 increase in goods, facilities and services rights for trans people and the resulting expansion of trans inclusion within the Gender Equality Duty. The seminar will look at transgender inclusion good practice and showcase the partnership work carried out between the Scottish Transgender Alliance and various public services and equality organisations. Seminar attendees will learn the latest research findings on the experiences of transgender people living across Scotland and hear directly from transgender people themselves.

Seminar places are free but must be booked in advance as spaces are limited. Please email james@equality-network.org or by post to: James Morton, Scottish Transgender Alliance, Equality Network, 30 Bernard Street, Edinburgh, EH6 6PR.
